Bardo was the starting point guard on the legendary Flying Illini of the University of Illinois 1989 team that qualified for the NCAA Men’s Final Four game. That same year, Bardo was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Bardo's 10-year professional career in the United States included stops in the NBA (Dallas, Detroit, and San Antonio) and overseas (France, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Venezuela).
In 2018, Bardo’s production company, Windo Productions, developed his own show television, “America Loves Food and Sports,” where he interviews sports guests while reviewing restaurants in Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Miami.
